- What do you enjoy most about the work you do?
Apart from the excellent teams and people I enjoy working with on the day to day, I would say that I enjoyed when everyone in the program was very adaptive to working remotely since it became necessary about two years ago. Our team’s hard work and efforts to collaborate effectively ensured the program is more productive in delivering value added products and support to OBO customers.
- How have you been able to grow personally and/or professionally since you started?
I have been with the company for over 3 years, and I have developed great rapport with my project teams, company support teams and management, as well as our government clients. I feel rewarded with my career growth and the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities.
- What has been one of your favorite projects so far, and why?
One of my favorite projects was to migrate multiple mission critical applications from an on-premises environment to the Cloud. With coordination and collaboration with other technical teams and contractors, we also completed the DevOps pipelines for these applications to ensure consistent, efficient, and secure deployments across all environments.
- What do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to read and travel. Seeing different places helps keep me open-minded and appreciative of different cultures and backgrounds of people I interact with at work and outside of work.
- What has surprised you about working for Ho-Chunk, Inc.? Or what insights or advice would you give to someone who is thinking about applying to work here or recently started?
The company provides great resources for training and career development. I often suggest team members to check BizLibrary for courses and topics that they might find useful in resolving technical problems and gaining additional knowledge and skills. I personally took some and plan to take more on that site.
- Do you have anything you’re looking forward to or have you done anything fun or interesting lately?
I am looking forward to more post-pandemic travels, like a lot of people. I traveled to Ireland recently, and it was a great experience to see some of the most breathtaking cliffs in the world.
